Skills

 Split Shot
Medusa magically splits her shot into five arrows. These arrows deal a lower percent of her normal damage.
  • 1. Mana 0 / Cooldown 0 / Duration 5 arrows each 50% damage
  • 2. Mana 0 / Cooldown 0 / Duration 5 arrows each 60% damage
  • 3. Mana 0 / Cooldown 0 / Duration 5 arrows each 70% damage
  • 4. Mana 0 / Cooldown 0 / Duration 5 arrows each 80% damage
  • Only the primary target will recieve attack effects like bash and orb effects.
  • Secondary targets will be the four closest enemy units excluding the primary target.
  • Has a 0.1 seconds transformation time.
  • You can dodge stuns while transforming.
This makes Medusa a very good pusher. So only get this at late game cuz you won't be pushing a lot early game. And if you are alert enough, you can use this to dodge stuns.

 Mystic Snake
A mystic snake made of energy jumps from target to target dealing damage and stealing some energy. After it reaches its last target, it jumps back to Medusa to replenish it with mana. The snake deals more damage and steals more mana per jump. The snake's power is increased by 20% each jump.
  • 1. Mana 140 / Cooldown 11 / 80 base damage, 20 base mana. 3 jumps.
  • 2. Mana 150 / Cooldown 11 / 120 base damage, 30 base mana. 4 jumps.
  • 3. Mana 160 / Cooldown 11 / 160 base damage, 40 base mana. 5 jumps.
  • 4. Mana 170 / Cooldown 11 / 200 base damage, 50 base mana. 6 jumps.
  • Every time it steals mana (only happens on units with mana), the amount it steals is increased by 25% of its base value.
  • Every time it damages, the damage amount is increased by 25% of its base value.
  • The damage and mana steal amounts increase independently..
  • The mystic snake moves at a speed of 633 until it is returning, at which point it moves at a speed of 833.
This skill makes you farm and harass enemies. It gives you lane control because it damages and steals mana from enemies if they stay to close at their creeps, surely they don't want that.

 Mana Shield
Creates a shield that absorbs 50% of the incoming damage by using Medusa's mana.
  • 1. Mana 0 / Cooldown 0 / Absorbs 0.75 damage per point of mana
  • 2. Mana 0 / Cooldown 0 / Absorbs 1.25 damage per point of mana
  • 3. Mana 0 / Cooldown 0 / Absorbs 1.75 damage per point of mana
  • 4. Mana 0 / Cooldown 0 / Absorbs 2.25 damage per point of mana
  • Absorbs damage before any damage reduction takes place, meaning that armor will not reduce the amount of mana needed to absorb damage.
This skill is what makes Medusa a tanky carry. Just don't feel that immortal when turned on. Just play safe and watch out for your mana, this may consume it.

 Stone Gaze
Any enemy unit staring at the Gorgon will have its attack, movement and turn rate reduced by 50%. If it stares at Gorgon for over 2 seconds, the unit will become stoned for 3 seconds. Stoned units are disabled, have 100% magic resistance and take extra damage from physical attacks.
  • 1. Mana 200 / Cooldown 90 / Duration 3 seconds* / 6 seconds** / Slows attack, movement, and turn speed and stones after 2 seconds.. Stoned units take 30% bonus damage.
  • 2. Mana 200 / Cooldown 90 / Duration 3 seconds* / 6 seconds** / Slows attack, movement, and turn speed and stones after 2 seconds.. Stoned units take 40% bonus damage.
  • 3. Mana 200 / Cooldown 90 / Duration 3 seconds* / 6 seconds** / Slows attack, movement, and turn speed and stones after 2 seconds.. Stoned units take 50% bonus damage.
  • (*) Stone duration
  • (**) Gaze duration
  • Affects any units that have line of sight with Medusa at any period during 5 seconds after cast.
  • View Angle Spread: 85 degrees
This is what makes Medusa the so called "Ungankable". Use it at fleeing enemies or helping allies escape. Just make sure the enemies are looking at you. But that doesn't mean that you should be looking at them. Ohh and nice buff

So this is my awesome/unique/stupid/noob's skill build, but you might be wrong. Medusa needs only one thing and that is stats. If you haven't read the attribute bonus above, I'll be explaining it again. Her base stats and stat gain are pathetic so getting stats early game is not such a bad idea. it gives her the hp(38 hp), the armor/attack speed(0.28/2 IAS) and the mana she needs(26 mp). It's like having 2 GG branches per 2 levels (53+53=a free 106 worth item every 2 levels ). So we max Mana Shield first, it gives you the toughness to survive early/mid game. remember, A bad early game leads to a bad late game. Stone gaze is taken whenever possible. After stats, it's up to you if you want to max Split Shot first or Mystic Snake. Depends actually on the game.

Item Build

Core Items
  • This is my Medusa's core items. Armlet of Mordiggian is the item to get after boots. Why is Armlet of Mordiggian on your core or even on Medusa? Is there something wrong with experimenting? Then why? Because it provides you the extra survivability she needs, damage and attack speed, which is needed for every carry. It also gives you the unholy strength ability for electric moves . So its not a bad item on medusa... The next item you need to farm is Manta Style. It gives you more survivability as well as damage. You can upgrade boots after your core. Always fill your inventory with GG branches, even the smallest things count
Extensions

You may upgrade your boots into treads before or after armlet. It depends on you if you want the attack speed first.

One of the best items you can get for Medusa. It provides her everything she needs, stats, health and mana. Also, the cold attack makes you sure that the enemy won't escape your wrath.

One of the best items you can get for Medusa. It also provides her everything she needs, stats, health and mana. And the Spell block is a life saver.

Getting both Linkens and Skadi is not such a good idea. It'll delay your luxury items such as the butterfly or divine. So get only one. yeah, it's hard to choose from the two.

Luxury

The best item you can get on every agi carry and Medusa is one of them. Getting this really makes you a hard core carry.

Medusa is a great Divine holder as she is immortal (hard to kill). Not even a tank can ignore your damage, even with split shot turned on. Just make sure you don't die.

Replace threads with BoT after butterfly because you won't be needing the attack speed it provides anymore. Or if you think that you still need it, then keep it.

Strategy

Early Game

In choosing your lane, never go mid. Give it to someone who needs the solo lane. So the best choice for going side lanes is bot (sentinel) or top (scourge). Pull like hell so that you can farm up your core fast. Learn to play safe, don't go for a kill because it'll end up you getting killed. Try to be invisible (not visible on the minimap) meaning to farm until you get your core. Only then may you get out pushing.

Always check your minimap for missing heroes. With you missing, they would know you're farming. So they might be ganking you but if your level 6, you can freely use gaze and escape being fished.

Mid Game

You should have finished your core at the mark of 15 or 20 minutes. Now, you CAN kill those who are LONE and FRAGILE. In approaching an enemy, first activate your armlet then use lothars. Attack from behind and as soon as they face you, use gaze. Keep on the right clicks and watch the enemy die before your petrifying eyes.

When dying, activate armlet. When escaping, use lothars. When being ganked, use stone gaze. You'll probably survive until late game.

Late Game

Your true power comes to life now that you have Eye of Skadi/Linken's Sphere/The Butterfly/Divine Rapier. You are now truly a right click monster (if you have farmed up some of the items stated above). In clashes, only use gaze to slow fleeing enemies and/or help allies escape. And make sure they're all looking at you.
